Debbie Hepplewhite’s Synthetic Phonics for Can Do Cubes

header

Debbie Hepplewhite is a practicing teacher and trainer, and a recognised authority on synthetic phonics.  With Can Do Cubes, she has produced what is arguably the simplest and most accessible synthetic phonics programme available today.

Exploiting the tactile qualities of laser engraved, hardwood cubes, Debbie’s system is a systematic, simple to complex alphabetic code programme for the teaching of spelling, reading and writing of English.  Instruction books, ‘at-glance-word’ and ‘overview’ charts and a DVD, featuring Debbie discussing the principles and practicalities of synthetic phonics, are included in both the School and Home and Tutorial Editions.  The DVD also contains an interactive section where Debbie ‘sounds out’ the 44 sounds which make up the English language. These programmes can be enjoyed by all as no specialist knowledge of English or Phonics is necessary for their use.

Although a stand alone Synthetic Phonics programme, this resource can also be used as a multisensory complement to other synthetic phonics programmes.

Debbie Hepplewhite’s Synthetic Phonics programme for Can Do Cubes has  been assessed by the DCSF  and found to fully comply with the principles of the UK Government’s ‘Letters and Sounds’ programme.

Can Do Education’s products are recommended by The Dyslexia Institute (Dyslexia Action).

QGP Ltd is working in partnership with Can Do Cubes to promote the use of Debbie Hepplewhite’s Synthetic Phonics teaching programme for entry readers.  To find out more about this programme or to order any products please click on one of the links below:
