Help with Viewing
The video does not load.
Some organisations prevent videos from being played on their internal computers. Please check with your IT support to see if this is the case - and whether the block can be lifted.
The video takes a while to load.
This site is aimed at Broadband users, so you will not be able to access it on a dial up connection. We recommend a 1Mbps Broadband connection. You may also be somewhere where heavy internet use by other people may be slowing down your connection. Check other video websites such as Teachers' TV (http://www.teachers.tv) to see whether you experience similar connection problems.
The video stops and starts while I watch it.
We have endeavoured to provide robust servers but at times of high traffic we cannot guarantee a seamless user experience. Please be patient or log back on at a less busy time. Your Bandwidth may also be affected by other applications.
The sound on the video is not working.
If you get audio disturbance try refreshing your web page. Please note that your computer has sound controls accessible from the control panel and that the video player has sound controls which appear in the player window.
I am behind a firewall.
Some firewalls block video content and you may need to access the site from a
different location. To check whether it is a firewall issue try accessing a video website such as Teachers' TV.
I click on View Video but nothing happens.
Please check that your browser has JavaScript enabled and that you are not blocking pop ups.

Important to all Schools: A Video content statement
"Public TV brings together video from across the public sector - and specialises in communication, training and information videos. The videos come from organisations, companies, charities, or governments. They are either hosted on the Public TV website, or they are accessed via a link to the video page of an external website. The Public TV team checks all videos and external links before they are uploaded onto the site. The site has been live for over 6 months - and during that time we have had no complaints about unsuitable or inappropriate material."
